This sector is expected to continue to dominate the health and wellness category through to 2018, with BFY packaged food forecasted to comprise 71.7% of total BFY product sales. In North America, BFY products generated 11% of total sales of packaged food, while in Australasia and Western Europe the share reached 10.5% and 6.7% respectively. In less developed markets, where demand for BFY products is much smaller, the BFY sector accounted for 5.4% in Eastern Europe and 3.8 % in Latin America.
